The exhibition "Armenia - ancient and modern" was realized thanks to Mr. Uzunyan. It began in 2012 when he organized a photo-fest in Armenia with two amateur photographers - Milko Dimitrov and Hristo Iliev. They had never seen before the country and remain struck by the cultural Heritage.
Looking back, the Republic of Armenia is a small part of the Kingdom of Armenia in the Armenian Plateau. The Armenian nation is the same age as the Sumerians and the Egyptians. It still retains its authentic culture, unique script unchanged from the 405, and is the first in the world to adopt Christianity as its official religion in 301.
The exhibition is an original story about Armenians and their culture. In it were reflected:
- Patriarchal Cathedral of Etchmiadzin 303 .;
- Ancient rock monastery Gehart protected by UNESCO;
- Matenadaran book depository where are preserved examples of written culture of extinct peoples;
- Parchment from the Assyrian, Hellenistic and Roman culture;
Visitors will touch to the modern capital Yerevan - charming town of pink tufa. A city with many parks and fountains, exotic markets and cozy cafes, streets filled with young people.
Additionally, it is worth noting that in 2014 Hristo Dimitrov won the Gold Cup in the "Architecture" in Beijing namely with photos of the monastery Gehart. It competes with famous photographers 4480, but won the attention of the jury.
