Mon, 19 Sep 2016

The Sofia History Museum continues the series of scientific lectures. This time it is dedicated to physics and astronomy.

In July a guest at Sofia History Museum will be the young scientist Gancho Ganchev. He is a PhD student at the Department of "Astronomy" at the Physics Faculty of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". The lecture will be on "Mission Supernovae”.

On the one hand, during the lecture, it will be revealed interesting facts about supernovae - colossal explosions that occur in the final stages of life of massive stars. They allow the creation of most chemical elements we know. At the same time, the lecture is charity. Gancho Ganchev needs support for its participation in the World Conference on Astronomy in August.

Before the lecture, visitors can enjoy the performances of talented children from The National Academy of Music – Prof. Pancho Vladigerov, Sofia.
