REGIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM - SOFIA presents the exhibition "The gift." It includes a wide range of exhibits from several eras, united by the act of donation. Officially the temporary exhibition will be opened on October 19, 2016, 18:00 pm at the Museum (Square "Banski" 1).
The exhibition "The gift" is a project of the Regional History Museum - Sofia. It presents exhibits from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Modern and Contemporary Bulgarian history. The objects are diverse, but united by an important sign - the act of donation.
A big part of the exposed objects are displayed for the first time. The earliest are those of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance: a copy of Vitosha charter, issued by King Shishman of Dragalevski monastery "St. Mary of Vitosha" firman (1876) with permission for construction of a Christian church and others.
The period after the Liberation of Bulgaria (1878) is represented by: Book Hardware and decorations in tribute to participating in the Russo-Turkish War, a model of locomotive for the wedding of King Boris III with Giovanna of Savoy, insignia of power to Crown Prince Simeon Prince of Turnovo and others.
Objects from the Latest time (after 1944) are related to the international relations of Bulgaria at national and local level. It can be seen the gifts of Todor Zhivkov from various delegations. It is exposed the original chronicle book of Sofia Municipality currently used and more.
A fnishing element in the exhibition is a form of gift, gained popularity lately. It's beautifully landscaped vouchers amounting to a certain amount. Such give to friends and relatives in order to choose the most desired of them.
The temporary exhibition can be seen in the Regional History Museum - Sofia in the period October 19, 2016 - January 22, 2017. It is realized in cooperation with Sofia Municipality, National Polytechnic Museum - Sofia Historical Museum - Pravets and bookstores "Helikon"
