REGIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM SOFIA informs its guests that on 1st January (Tuesday) 2019 the permanent and temporary exhibition in the building of the Museum on 1 Sq. "Banski" will not be open for visitors.
Until 31st of July in exhibition hall 2 under the glass domes of Largo-Sofia, visitors can enjoy the landscape exhibition of Dimitar Hadzhiangelov. The exhibition is opened for visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 6pm.

The initiative was held between 24th and the 30th of June and was organized within the activities of the K-TRIO project („Researchers in the Knowledge Triangle“, funded by HORIZON-MSCA-2025-CITIZENS-01-01 - European Researchers' Night and Researchers at Schools 2026-2027).
Over the course of five days—from June 29 to July 3, 2026—the Regional History Museum in Sofia hosted an intensive scientific and experimental workshop—the 2nd International Experimental Numismatic Workshop—which took place for the first time in Bulgaria. It brought together leading experts from the Swiss Inventory of Coin Finds (Switzerland), Corpus Nummorum at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (Germany), the University of Leicester (United Kingdom), and Bulgarian scholars from the National Archaeological Institute with Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” and the Regional History Museum – Sofia.
