Sofia History Museum will host Christmas Craft Fair /17-24 December 2015/. The event is held by the National Chamber of Crafts and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce – San Francisco.

The first electrical tram appears in Sofia 115 years ago. This does not happen by itself, but with many efforts. After the Liberation from the Ottoman Empire Sofia is the first city in which appears the horse omnibus. At first there are only three lines, which depart from “St. Nedelya” square and arrive on the Central Railway Station, in Gorna Banya district and in Knyajevo district.

The Liberation of Sofia from the Ottoman enslavers became reality on 1-th of January 1878. This was part of the military actions of the Russian military headquarters during the Russo – Turkish War /1877 – 1878/.
